In 2011, Boys & Girls Clubs of South Africa (BGCSA) opened the doors to its first Clubhouse in the community of Pimville, Soweto, just outside Johannesburg. In August of 2013, the NBA and McDonald’s unveiled a basketball court as part of the ever growing campus in the Pimville Park. In July of 2014, BGCSA finalized the addition of a second facility on site, which serves as a Teen Centre, thanks to a generous donation from the Rick & Susan Goings Foundation. The Boys & Girls Club in Pimville is now complete with two facilities, a garden, a basketball court, soccer fields, and most importantly, hundreds of Members attending programs and activities each day. The flagship Clubhouse is successful thanks to the multilateral partnership between the City of Johannesburg, Tupperware Brands, and BGCSA.
